Webelos Den-10/18 Meeting
This week's meeting will be at Cici's Pizza for our Pack 47 fundraiser.
Loaction is 12883 Citrus Park Dr Tampa 33625. The time frame is 5-8pm. Invite all your family and friends to join us for some pizza. All you have to do is come out order a pizza and leave your receipt in the bowl before you go so our pack can earn 20% of the profits. Scouts should be in uniform if they have it.

Camping Essentials

and suggestions....
A tent, a ground tarp and a mallet for hammering in stakes
A small tent broom & dustpan to sweep out the sand
A sleeping bag 60deg. works well in Florida, they run under $20
An air mattress or sleeping pad for the adult
A pillow is really nice to have or you can pile up clean clothes
A flashlight for each person & check to see if they work
A folding chair
Canteen/water bottle for each person
Sunscreen
Bug Repellent
A hat
Garbage bags for dirty clothes & big Ziploc bags are handy
Toiletries (toothbrush & paste, towels, shampoo, soap, comb)
Playing Cards
Class A Uniform for Flag Ceremony & Outdoor Worship
Clothes (unders, socks, 2 tees & 2 shorts min.) plan for dirt!
Night Clothes
Pocket First Aid Kit (couple band-aids & a safety pin)
Snacks for yourself (not a lot of sweets)
Durable shoes that are closed toed, no sandals
Ear Plugs for light sleepers
Baby Wipes are handy for clean ups
Small Notebook & Pen for journaling, record keeping, phone numbers, name of birds that were spotted.
And don't forget the CAMERA
Pocketknife – Only Cub scouts who have earned their whittling chip and are supervised by a parent are allowed to have knives.
All Pack 47 camp-outs are electronics free so please leave all Gameboys, DVD players, etc. at home. Nature provides plenty of entertainment!!!

Boys stamped their fingerprints in their book or on the handout. Soon we will have a police officer come to a meeting and have a talk about safety.

Spook-O-Ree

Several times during the Scouting year, the Gulf Ridge Council conducts Cub Scout camping weekends full of fun and adventure. These weekends offer Cub Scouts the opportunity to spend the weekend camping with their parents and any other family members. The weekend will be exciting and fun filled. There will be BB guns, Archery, haunted trail, games and more. Hope to see you on the trail!
Registration & Payments are due by the 27 September meeting or a late fee will be applied. T-shirts, extra patches & water bottles will not be available to order after the 30 September date. Final cut-off is 12 October.
Check in time: 6-9pm Friday and from 8am to 9am Saturday morning.
Check out time: Saturday evening at 6pm or Sunday Morning by 11am.

The scout will need a 3 ring binder with page protectors for a scrapbook. They will save & store achievements.

Here are the achievements from your son’s handbook that must
be completed by you, at home, where you—as “Akela,” a Leader—should review that with your
son, and sign off in the handbook when it is complete (these might be assigned, as in they will tie into meeting plans):

Child Abuse: A Parent’s Guide.
Achievement 1: Ways We Worship
- Achievement 1a: Complete the Character Connection for Faith
- • Know: Name some people in history who have shown great faith. Discuss with an adult
- how faith has been important at a particular point in his or her life.
- • Commit: Discuss with an adult how having faith and hope will help you in your life, and
- also discuss some ways that you can strengthen your faith.
- • Practice: Practice your faith as you are taught in your home, church, synagogue,
- mosque, or religious fellowship.
- Achievement 1b: Make a list of things you can do this week to practice your religion as you are taught in your home, church, synagogue, mosque, or other religious community. Check them off your list as you complete them.
